Yes, you can, however there was a bug recently found that I’m fixing in the config software where if you don’t create your presets sequentially (for example, if you start your program at preset 4 and leave 1-3 blank), it will cause a configuration error. So, ideally, use 1-3 as looper preset, then 4-6 as CC presets.

Ok, why don’t you give me a call at 805-242-6506 and we can see what’s going on. This thing has been thoroughly tested on Live 9 so I’m sure it’s something simple.

Yes. You can configure the DataLooper to send any type of MIDI message using the config software (https://www.datalooperpedal.com/config). I put together a config preset that you can flash on the device that is an effects controller (can get here https://datalooperpedal.com/resources/), which basically just sends out CC toggle messages on 3…[Read more]

I’ll check this out shortly. I may have forgotten to change the max # in the config software. Will keep you posted.

It sounds like all is well with the pedal. I would triple check that the folder is installed in the right place. Even if there was a problem with the script, it would still show up in that menu. Is it possible you have two versions of Live 9 installed and the one you are running is not the one you installed the script to? If it still won’t show…[Read more]

admin replied to the topic Windows 7 not recognizing device in the forum Bugs/Issues 6 years, 8 months ago

Hi sorry for the late reply. In my testing, DataLooper still worked in Win 7, even though it showed a second device (serial communication protocol) that was missing drivers. If it is not working, try following this guide:

On the default set, all the faders are down (I did this so people didn’t get feedback issues when they first opened it). Could that be it?

admin replied to the topic Web configure current configuration in the forum Bugs/Issues 6 years, 8 months ago

Yep, also, you can save files if you create presets from scratch. I may add a ‘read current program’ option in future firmware updates, but it didn’t seem like a totally necessary feature and I wanted to get these things out as close to March as possible.

admin replied to the topic Clips not recording in the forum Bugs/Issues 6 years, 8 months ago

Couple of things to look at.
    1. Is the track record armed?
    2. Are you sure you’re on the correct bank.
    3. Is the LED white on the top left button?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then there’s something going on that I’ll need to look into. If you could send me your Ableton log file, it may provide some insight just to see if there’s…[Read more]

admin replied to the topic LED light incorrect in the forum Bugs/Issues 6 years, 8 months ago

Hmm I think I understand what’s going on, though I’m not exactly sure why. Can you make sure you have ‘remote’ and ‘track’ selected in the MIDI/Link prefs in Ableton for DataLooper Output? Also, as a test, can you remove all other devices from the ‘Control Surfaces’ in the MIDI/Link prefs and see if the issue persists? If it does, you can call me…[Read more]

admin replied to the topic input/output Not showing up in MIDI pref in the forum Bugs/Issues 6 years, 8 months ago

Ok that means that the DataLooper is not being seen by the computer for some reason. Can you let me know the following?

    1. When you plugin in the DataLooper via USB (using the included cable without any hubs), does the LED on the bottom row, third column light up white?
If the answer is no, then download TyTools…[Read more]

admin replied to the topic Multi-Looper Function in the forum Feature Requests 6 years, 8 months ago

Yes, you can program multiple buttons to send the stop function. Check out the config software and load up the default config to see exactly what’s going on.

admin replied to the topic Multi-Looper Function in the forum Feature Requests 6 years, 8 months ago

I think you can do this. So here’s how it would work. DL#2’s record button just needs to be re-mapped to DL#1’s stop button, and DL#1’s record button needs to be mapped to DL#2’s stop button. Make sure the transport is stopped when you’re remapping. Clever little thing!

admin replied to the topic Duplicate Clip in the forum Feature Requests 6 years, 8 months ago

I’m not sure that’s possible with an audio clip due to API restrictions, but I think it’s possible to do that with MIDI clips. How would that be implemented? Just a dedicated control for ‘duplicate clip’, which would copy the clip that you’re currently working with?

Hmm yeah I thought about this….i think maybe changing the intensity of the light may be a clear indicator. I’ll test this out and see what I can do.

admin replied to the topic LED light incorrect in the forum Bugs/Issues 6 years, 8 months ago

Hi Garrett, can you confirm you are on the correct bank? When you are on bank 2, the controls should be addressing 4-6, bank 3: 7-9. If the banks are not correctly controlling the right loopers, try a reset of the default config using the config software. Just go to the configure page, load up the default config and synchronize (with Ableton…[Read more]

Ahh good find. Yeah i’ll probably just have to set a flag to ignore the incoming state change on from Ableton in that case. Will fix on next firmware update. Thanks for posting.
