Hi there!
I wanted to know if you can use Datalooper without Ableton. I am trying to send CC messages to my Boss RC505mkii with a 5 pin MIDI cable, so I can use it as a foot controller for starting stopping, and overdubbing loops on the 505mkii, but I’m not sure what CC messages I’m sending to it… Please help if you can!!

Hi, yes you can definitely use Datalooper as just a MIDI controller, just know that it won’t have the same LED feedback. You can use the Datalooper Config software to program whatever CC messages the Boss RC505 expects to receive. Check out the RC505 manual, and they should have a MIDI implementation chart somewhere in there.
